West London Tram: just say no

IT'S OVER

The press release is carefully phrased, but the meaning is clear:

THE WEST LONDON TRAM PROJECT HAS BEEN SHELVED.

STOP the West London Tram!

THE WEST LONDON TRAM is a scheme proposed by Transport for London. It involves building a light railway, misleadingly described as a tram, along the Uxbridge Road from Uxbridge to Shepherd's Bush.

SAVE EALING'S STREETS is a group of local residents. After years of trying to persuade TfL and Ealing Council to improve the West London Tram scheme and make it workable in terms of transport, cost and environmental considerations, we have reluctantly come to the conclusion that the only course left is to say
NO TRAM.
